TONY BOYLE ... the power is in the story!Growing up on the unique and pristine landscape of Kangaroo Island, 12 miles off the rugged coast of South Australia, Tony Boyle learned about hard work in the knockabout world of the sheep and cattle farmer, but with "...restlessness in my gut, a drive to find out what was over there..." His yearning for discovery of the world 'over there' took him to Sydney where he started out modeling and acting, and then writing and producing videos. He covered stories of displaced peoples in Africa and Afghanistan and traveled to Europe and the USA. Since settling in the USA in the early nineties, Tony continues working in the entertainment industry, without ever losing his Australian charm and love for a good story: "....I get a kick out of spinning a yarn or two, especially about my travels, the miracles and the people from around..." Often returning to his roots, Kangaroo Island is the setting for his first E-book novel, Kangaroo Island, a soaring Australian epic of the lives of two families - a brilliantly woven tapestry of Australian character with its idiosyncrasies, extraordinary tenacity and deadpan humor. Tony and his American wife, Kathy, return at least once every year to Kangaroo Island... "There’s a mystique about Kangaroo Island that speaks to the soul, reminds me of what’s really important and tops me up with gratitude."
Public speaker, storyteller, screenwriter ... Tony Boyle often chronicles the opportunities created for him out of the depths of his recovery from his own challenges of alcohol abuse. "I am part of the storytellers' fellowship, ever since I sang out to the Big Bloke in the Australian Outback one night 21 years ago and asked for help; that was it, a new day dawned and with it a new life ..." He loved mixing it up with his mates in the rough and tumble of Aussie footy, and the occasional rough and tumble of rural and state politics! When he moved to the mainland with his family ... His life changed overnight producing videos and documentaries that took him far afield...a story with the Mujahideen in northern Pakistan ... Hear Tony spin a yarn. There are hundreds of stories and observations around these snippets from his life journey. From hopeless addictions to miracles of recovery, from despair to gratitude to the sheer magnificence of enjoying the sensational ride we are given on this rock hurtling through the universe. “Tony, I'm continually impressed with your skill to craft and weave a story together. It's clear that you are just what I needed to have any hope of creating a viable screenplay. Your character development is excellent and engaging. Your talent and experience shows and is appreciated greatly.” Ray Mueller, Death in Time, Florida.
